Pictures I took at the auditorium in North Central College
ABSENT
1.)How can you adjust lines in your photography?
Using a tilt-shift lens is one way to change the field of view of your camera while keeping vertical lines vertical. Another method is to adjust the vertical lines in Photoshop, though this will usually result in some of the image being cut off and a slight loss of image quality.
2.)How does organizing your capture help the final photo?
takes little details that would make the picture less attractive out

3.)Explain three more tips that you learned from this article that you find helpful.
Using HDR, Using natural lighting, and take out eye sores in pictures

I Like this picture because it gives me a satisfaction of just looking at it all the edges and the straight lines

This photo gives me an eerie vibe, the lines and trees lead to a foggy area which is also pretty creepy

I like this photo because of the circles it has, it creates sort of a trippy vibe

Fridays Assignment
Which photographer's work do you personally prefer? Platon or Dylan McDermott?
Dylan Mcdermott
Where does Dylan McDermott go to take the best photos and why is it so fantastic to photograph?
africa because it us a fascinating place to take pictures
Platon says he does not think of himself as a photographer anymore. What does he say he is?
he says that he is a storyteller
Both Platon and Dylan McDermott talk about today's society and how it have been "robbed" by technology. What has technology taken from us according to Platon? Do you agree with the statements they make about communication today? Why or why not?
it ruins interactions with people. I agree because people today text instead of seeing eachother in person or if people hang out they are on their phone and not interacting with their friend

Describe a photo you saw in the episode that you felt was an exceptional photo
The guy with the gun. you get this vibe of fear.

Absent: Action Shot

In order to give an image a stop-action look, I learned you need to use your camera’s sports/action mode (indicated by the running figure on the basic shooting mode dial), or your shutter-priority mode to set a fast shutter speed. In this mode, denoted by the Tv (time value) or S (shutter) mode on your shooting dial, you set the desired shutter speed and your camera will automatically set the aperture to get the best exposure. I also learned that panning requires shutter to be 1/30th of a second while freezing action is 1/1000th of a second.

1) Mary Ellen Mark
2) Yes, because I think her experience behind the camera aloud her to know what it is like for the person she is taking pictures of.
3) Back then camera companies seemed to be more personal but not people do not really care what camera you used to take the photo, they just care about the photo.
4) The picture that Mary Ellen Mark took of a young girl with no hair in a prom dress was one of my favorites.

 glassy and stained
rough and bumpy

smooth
Do you agree with Kevin Bacon’s statement about how musicians are better photography subjects than actors?  Why?
-I think actors make a better photography than musicians because actors are always in front of a camera and most of them stay posing.

Which photographer’s work did you enjoy more?  Bob Gruen or Kevin Bacon?  Why?  What stands out to you?
-i enjoyed Bob Gruen's work more because he had pictures from the 60 and up. And it showed how photos were back then compared to now.
Describe a photo you saw in the episode that you felt was an exceptional photo.
-i like the Clash photo beacuse you can see the twin tower in the background and the empire state building
Why do you think Bob Gruen photographed the Clash and Green Day in the same location?
He wanted to get the same vibe he got when he took a famous picture back when he took the clash picture.

Did you enjoy the episode?  Would you be interested in watching another episode in class?
i really enjoyed the episode and i would be interested in watching more videos in class.

This picture looks real, i thought she had sisters that looked exactly like her. the editing is done very well, and it seems like theyre all talking to one another. the lighting is also very good. her house is nice. the big B in the back probably stands for Blidy which is good. i like her hoodie and her headband.
This is such a beautiful picture, the editing is so precise and spot free. I thought he was actually floating when I first saw this. Tim is also very handsome. He looks like he lifts alot of weight. This picture in my opinion represents how he can float like a butterfly but sting like a bee. I love this picture alot
I think this picture is so bad, who does their homework in the middle of the floor. lol. shes acting like shes playing a game when shes holding the controller upside down. This picture is also very boring, it makes me mad. Killzone 3 is not even a fun game. who uses their phone in the corner of a room. In my opinion I hate this picture,
I use the bathroom alot

Smoking Cigarettes is the worst thing you can do to yourself. although legal in united states, people should stop destroying their lives. smoking can cause lung cancer and infect the body with all its contaminents. Marijuana is illegal and benefits people in many ways. I believe cigarettes should be illegal and marijauna should be legal throughout the whole united states. Cigarettes also contaminate the people around its consumer, which is second hand smoking which i think is horrible. People that do not smoke and still get affected is not right. my father smokes and I think its the nastiest thing ever. I have personally tried one and realized how gross it was and how it should not be done.

megapixel,a unit of graphic resolution equivalent to one million or (strictly) 1,048,576 (220) pixels.
gigabyte, a unit of information equal to one billion (109) or, strictly, 230 bytes.
jpeg,a format for compressing image files.

This picture really conveys a milestone to mankind. to set foot off the face of the earth and enter a different gravitational pull is astonishing to me. the fact that they are not stepping on the same surface as us. neil armstrong really touched people worldwide. it showed anything is possible. Traveling to the moon and back. Happiness occured because we beat Russia with the first man on the moon.
The majority in this picture are white people. The emotions are all over the place, it makes me sad personally but the white believe its right and its messed up. I feel like this picture can spark a small fire into a wildfire by getting the blacks all riled up by hanging their kind for being black. white people are messed up. the white people are also smiling and are happy that they have killed a human being just to show their hate for them, and to show who has more "power'".
This picture really blows my mind. The fact that kid whatever he did wrong is about to get his life taken away from him. This picture really just breaks my heart in a million places. The kids face is all beaten up and he seems innocent with his plaid shirt. An innocent person is getting killed for its hometown commencing war. Being shot in the head is a notorious way to die in my opinion and no one should be in that position.
